Today, HELCOR produces high-quality materials from leather, microfiber, and leather fibers using state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly technologies – for the automotive industry, the shoe and bag sectors, as well as the upholstery and contract furniture industries. At the heart of our production is a patented finishing process: An extremely thin polyurethane layer is applied to the material using specially manufactured silicone matrices. This ensures that our leathers remain breathable, permeable to air and water vapor – and meet all relevant testing standards. The result: a natural product that can still be called "genuine leather." Virtually any surface can be replicated using our silicone matrices. This process creates uniform materials with diverse design possibilities – ideal for individual, creative product solutions.
